Some careers begin with a plan. Scott Effler’s began with a challenge, being thrown into the Salesforce ecosystem without ever having logged in. Instead of hesitating, he learned fast, built faster, and never looked back. Today, as our Director of Product Architecture, Technology, and Strategy, Scott blends sharp technical insight with a uniquely human approach to leadership. From driving cutting-edge Salesforce and Agentforce initiatives to guiding teammates toward their goals, Scott continues to shape the future of what’s possible at Bridgenext.

How did you first get into the Salesforce ecosystem?
I was hired by the Salesforce ISV team in 2012 and I had never logged into the system. I went to a bootcamp and then started working with global partners within a month.

What do you love most about working with the Salesforce team at Bridgenext? (OK to highlight a fellow teammate or project.)
I often say that our Slack is like liquid gold. If there is a technical, business, or process question there is always someone with an answer who is willing to hop on a zoom and connect.
How would your colleagues describe you and your approach to collaboration?
I tend to be pretty quiet during initial discussions. I like to listen to perspectives from different people. That doesn’t mean I agree with them all, but I do appreciate the perspectives. That said, once I do start talking it’s sometimes hard for me to stop.
Favorite go-to snack/drink to power through long integration or deployment sessions:
I have about 4 double shot Americanos a day.
What fuels your passion for Salesforce practice? (Besides great tech and strong coffee!)
The people. Every company has some innovation or awesome benefit, but good people make companies great.
What’s been your biggest professional milestone so far?
Getting to be a mentor to people. I’ve spoken on stage at keynotes and Dreamforce but getting to help coach people and help them realize a goal is a big deal to me.
Tell us about an Agentforce or Salesforce project you’re particularly proud of, what made it stand out?
We do a lot of Salesforce work, but we also do a lot of work directly for Salesforce. I am very proud of how the Bridgnext team also helps shape Salesforce directly. We were a launch partner of Agentforce and helped partners build on the early technology. I enjoy when we get our hands a little dirty and get to preview what new technology is just around the corner.
What’s the most exciting trend you’re seeing in the Salesforce / AI-powered automation space right now?
I love headless agents (Agentforce). The construct of AI monitoring for events or actions occurring helps solve problems quicker and makes humans more efficient.
How are you adapting to the rapid evolution of AI and automation within the Salesforce ecosystem?
This one is hard. Partially it is completing trailheads or attending product briefs from the Salesforce team. I also love connecting with those who are working with our customers to understand any new tech or agents that they are putting together for different use cases.
Favorite quote or mantra that inspires your work:
“I would have written you a shorter letter but I didn’t have the time.”
Whether he’s enabling teams to deliver fast, build smart, or think bigger, Scott brings a rare balance of technical depth and human warmth to every challenge. Powered by teamwork, curiosity, and of course, Americanos, his passion for mentoring and innovation sets an inspiring standard for what leadership in tech should look like.
