About the Client
A fast-growing environmental services and waste management company with years of growth, expanding across new communities and service lines both organically and through acquisition. It had built real momentum and a capable technology stack along the way that worked but was not optimal to support their next level of growth.
Goals
As commercial insurers expand digital quoting capabilities, complex submissions that receive a DNQ (Does not qualify) outcome often transition into fragmented manual underwriting workflows, creating inefficiencies, limited visibility, and inconsistent user experiences that lead to lost revenue. The client sought to bridge this gap by creating a seamless DNQ-to-underwriting journey, standardizing workflow management, improving operational transparency, accelerating quote turnaround times, and establishing a scalable, CRM-centered operating model that connects digital quoting with manual underwriting through unified platform experience.
Standing between the company and that goal was the very stack that had gotten it this far. Salesforce, TRUX, NICE, AMCS, Adaptive, Lytx, and others each did their job well on their own, but without being connected they left the company managing six-plus versions of the truth. Manual reporting ate hours instead of driving decisions and operational decisions moved slower than a fast-scaling business could afford.
Leadership set out to enhance the underlying architecture to ensure their systems work as one. Four priorities shaped the effort:
- One version of the truth: Bring customer and account data together into a single, trusted 360° view instead of assembling it by hand across tools.
- Less manual work, more decision time: Take reporting and reconciliation off people’s plates, so teams spend their time acting on data instead of assembling it.
- Acquisition-ready by design: Stand up a foundation that could absorb new companies and communities quickly, without re-plumbing everything each time.
- Ready for what’s next: Lay the groundwork for automation, self-service, and AI, so future capabilities plug in rather than get bolted on.
Solution
The company already had best-of-breed systems in place, albeit in silos. What it needed was a partner to handle the connective work it didn’t want to make a full-time focus. That’s where Bridgenext came in.
Bridgenext brought together its consulting, Salesforce, data, and integration teams to build a practical North Star roadmap, then moved straight into execution of a unified enterprise architecture. The work centered on:
- A North Star roadmap and unified enterprise architecture the whole program could build toward, so every future decision had a shared and agreed upon destination behind it.
- A unified Snowflake data foundation as the single place trusted data lives, replacing the patchwork of manual reconciliations from six systems.
- A reusable integration layer with standardized patterns across Logic Apps, Data Factory, and Fivetran, so new data sources connect the same way every time.
- Salesforce enhancements that sharpened the workflows sales, service, and operations already ran on.
- Data governance and MDM to keep the foundation clean as it grows.
- Release 1 quick wins with a Lookup Tool and a Waste Management API that closed high-friction gaps early, giving teams value in-hand while the larger program was built out.
Results
The impact showed up on two levels. Strategically, the company gained a clear enterprise roadmap and a unified architecture direction with a practical path to reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and scale with every new acquisition. Operationally, six-plus systems now operate as one platform, with a single Snowflake foundation standing in for what used to be manual reconciliation across tools.
Early delivery did more than close gaps – it built trust. The Lookup Tool and Waste Management API gave teams something tangible to use while the broader program was still being built, and that early proof point strengthened the partnership going into the next phases of work. They gained:
- Unified, trustworthy view of every customer and account
- Meaningfully less manual reporting and reconciliation work
- A foundation ready to absorb the next acquisition without re-engineering
- Standardized quoting & onboarding across the business
- Improved customer visibility for sales, service, and operations
- Architecture ready for automation, self-service, and AI
- Faster, more reliable reporting
