Today, as an Account Director at Bridgenext, Erika blends her passion for PR and communications with a knack for collaboration and big-picture thinking.   • How did you enter the media industry?

    I got my start in the media world freelancing for a media company to manage their website and social media. That experience sparked my fascination with the industry, and I dove into learning everything I could about PR and communications, especially when it came to working with national brands.

    The genuine collaboration and support. Everyone brings a unique perspective to the table, and there’s a real sense of trust and creativity in how we tackle each project. Best of all, there’s always room for laughter and creativity.

    Open-minded and driven, a true go-getter (and proud night owl!). Always supportive and ready to jump in on any project that comes our way.

    Coffee … iced or hot and a little sweet. Pistachios, roasted & salty!

Inspiration – All the Feels!

  • What fuels your creative fire? (Besides caffeine and money, of course!)

    Watching a project come to life from that first conversation with a brand/client to seeing their story unfold beautifully, is such a rewarding feeling. Knowing I played a part in making that happen, it’s such a win!

  • What’s your biggest career achievement?

    Stepping in to lead our co-op media tour program. As someone who has worked my way through the media industry and diving into all things PR and communications it’s been such a fun and exciting journey.

  • Tell us about a project that you are proud of.

    Two words: cheese and wine. Chatting with the brand team about creative ways to showcase their cheese line and perfect pairings was both fun and delicious! Seeing it come to life on TV and radio made all the hard work worthwhile. Can’t complain when “cheese and wine” are on the meeting agenda!

  • What’s the most exciting trend in the PR industry right now?

    The biggest trends I’m seeing right now are instant buzz and short-form video. Today, people want their information FAST and easy to access. Getting a brand story in front of potential consumers with about 30 seconds of messaging is crucial for successful multi-platform campaigns. Luckily, we’re experts at that!

  • How are you adapting to the media industry that’s always evolving?

    Adapting to a changing media industry means being curious, flexible, and proactive. Collaborating with my team to pivot strategies helps keep us ahead of the game.
