From late-night edit sessions to award-winning storytelling, and from iconic kids’ shows to the latest in AI-powered tools, Chris Reinhart’s journey through post-production is a masterclass in speed, evolution, and creative precision. As SVP of Post-Production and Senior Editor at Bridgenext, he turns raw footage into Emmy-level content, with vision, velocity, and zero drama (unless it’s in the script). Here’s a look at what keeps Chris cutting ahead of the curve.
Bridgenext Team Stats:
How did you enter the field of video production or post-production? Share your career journey: I started my career as an assistant editor at Murray Hill Studios right here in NYC. After a year, I got the call to join the iXL Digital Video Group (which would eventually become Creative Bubble) as their nighttime assistant. My main job? Prepping edit sessions so everything was ready to roll the next morning.
Before long, I moved into the daytime assistant role, which opened the door to more hands-on editing opportunities. One of the first big breaks? Assisting on Sesame Street, a show I’m proud to still edit for to this day… SEASON 56!!!
As those editing opportunities kept growing, so did my role. I eventually became a full-time editor and worked my way up to leading the department.
Sum up your work style in three emojis:
🏎️ – I’ve always been told I’m fast when editing.
🎨 – As an editor we are always painting a story.
👂🏻 – Always have to listen to feedback and notes in order to be successful.
What do you love most about working with your team at Bridgenext? I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside such a talented team, I’m genuinely impressed every day by their creativity and dedication. What makes me especially proud is the way we support and learn from one another throughout the creative & content creation process.
I’ve often compared our department to a teaching hospital: a place where knowledge is constantly shared, growth is encouraged, and everyone is both a student and a teacher. One of my favorite parts of this job is that there’s always something new to learn, and I’m grateful to be surrounded by a team that’s committed to helping each other reach our goals.
Tell us about a project that you are proud of.
The 2018 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards promo featuring John Cena humorously portrays multiple members of his fictional family. It was an editorial challenge, not only did we need to find great takes of each character, but we also had to ensure the performances played seamlessly together once composited side by side.
How are you adapting to the video production / industry that’s always evolving? As I mentioned above, one of my favorite aspects of my job is that it’s always changing, so I try to stay curious and keep up with whatever’s new, whether that’s cool AI tools like Runway ML or fresh updates in Premiere. I also stay connected with other creatives to see what’s trending and how folks are working smarter.
I’m all about staying flexible and finding ways to work faster without losing quality. For me, adapting just means being open to new ideas and always learning something new to keep things fresh.
Whether he’s wrangling footage of five fictional John Cenas, racing through edits like a Formula 1 pit crew, or testing the limits of AI tools before most of us finish our morning coffee, Chris Reinhart is proof that post-production isn’t just about technical precision, it’s about creative instinct, relentless curiosity, and a solid stash of sunflower seeds. At Bridgenext Content Studio, he’s not just producing the video, he’s setting the pace, mentoring the team, and quietly making sure the magic happens long before the credits roll.
