How did you enter the field of PR post-production? Share your career journey:
I went to Film school at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, focusing on Editing and Cinematography. After graduation, I took on whatever freelance work I could find in those fields but really got my start in this business as a cameraman back in 1995 / 1996 recording interviews with Holocaust Survivors for the Shoah Visual History Foundation. A truly incredible experience that I’ll never forget. From there I took a staff editing job with CBS cable, then another staff editing job for HBO. Working on promos / long form content for a lot of their bigger shows, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, OZ, and Real Sports.
From 1999 to 2017 I had my own postproduction / production companies with various partners…Keyframe Post, Bionic, Mindsmack TV, and finally Nimble Division. The businesses were as small as 5 people and were as large as 60 people. As a small business owner, I would oversee the general day to day operations, technology updates, HR, and sales, but would continue to edit, produce and sometimes direct short and long form content for various clients including: Nickelodeon, MTV Networks, Timewarner Cable, Food Network, Cooking Channel, USA, SyFy, Showtime, HBO, Pepsi, HP, IBM, and many others. We even managed to EP / Produce 3 independent feature films!
I joined Definition 6 as a Senior Editor / EP at the end of 2017 and was promoted to Director of Post-Production in 2022.

Working for Chris Reinhart has been great. He really cares about his team and has also become a good friend.
Tell us about a project that you are proud of. I’ve been fortunate to work with Food Network for the past 17 years, creating ton of branded content shortforms, promos, and sizzle reels . One of our more recent branded content projects we collaborated on with them highlights a partnership between Food Network’s Harry Potter Wizards of Baking, and Wayfair. The piece features one of the show’s judges, Carla Hall, making a cake, using all of her favorite Wayfair products from her trusty cupboard.
From the shoot material we created an on-air 30, and 3x 60 pieces for social. I’m particularly proud of this job because we handle all of the production and post from scripting to final delivery. We also work directly with the Food Network branded content team on set and through the entire post process. We are an extension of their team and vice versa. It’s been an amazing working relationship that I hope never ends.

What is your go-to plugin / software for creating stunning visuals? Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve
How are you adapting to the video production / industry that’s always evolving? I try to keep adding more tools / software to my skillset. DaVinci Resolve has been the most fun in recent years to work with. I also try to stay up on the latest AI tools and what they can and can’t do.
